Abstract
Interviews give interviewers and those who later listen to the interviews a door to enter into the past. Oral History provides information, emotions, and experiences that help convey the point of view of history through the lens of those who experienced the historical events unfold. The oral presentation will showcase an oral history project in an education course and hold the argument that oral history should be included in K-12 education so students can learn the human perspectives of American History that textbooks cannot offer.
