Abstract
The purpose of this research project is to identify whether fault lines exist between tribal, state, and federal law enforcement and Indigenous peoples. A quantitative survey will be utilized to assess two variables: trust in police and willingness to report a missing or murdered individual. Examination of data will show (1) if demographic factors influence trust in police and (2) whether varying levels of trust in police influence one’s willingness to report a missing or murdered individual. Discussion will focus on the consequences of victimization for Indigenous peoples.
