At USD, the senior exhibition serves as a cumulative statement of the MFA and BFA student's preparation to proceed in an art career beyond the baccalaureate degree. This degree exhibition is considered the final degree program assessment, and is considered a final examination of the student's most recent, relevant studio work. The exhibition must be evaluated and accepted by the art department faculty before approval of graduation can be granted. The exhibition organization and presentation, is approved by the art faculty, allows graduation.
